Aisha jamila Hinds was born in America, and is most well-known for her performance in The Shield. Since her first appearance, she has shown her range of talents by appearing on shows like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. The year 2005 was the year she received attention initially for her role as Anna as Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 However it was her portrayal of feminist activist Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally made her an actress. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the show will be renewed for another season.
